Finally, a local basketball competition to look forward to ever since Covid-19 happened.
The ActiveSG Cup 2022 was announced by Sports Singapore last November in hopes to bring back competitive sports to the local scene. The competition will span from the 19th February to 20th March 2022, with five geographical zones for participants all over Singapore.
Here is a quick rundown of the zones available, and where the games will be held:

| East | Pasir Ris Sports Hall |
| West | Jurong West Sports Hall |
This competition will be played in a 3X3 format, and teams will be playing on weekends starting from 19th February onwards. You can view the full list of Rules and Regulations here.
To make things even more competitive, participants will be grouped into different age categories:

| U19 | 17-19 |
| U16 | 15-16 |
| Girls | Age as of 19 Feb 2022 |
| U19 | 17-19 |
| U16 | 15-16 |
As you can see, this competition is mainly for the youths. So for the old but young at heart hoopers… maybe wait till the National Basketball League is back.
The top two teams from each zone will move on to the Super League, while the third and fourth ranking team will proceed to the Prime League. A Grand Final will then be held at Our Tampines Hub on the 20th March to wrap things up.
Also, for all you youngsters with parents saying: “Play sports cannot earn money one la…” you let them know that there will be attractive prizes to be won.
